Dance

Dance for the year has officially ended.

It's always a bittersweet time because Vanessa has come to love it so much. She's still all legs and arms, but she's not as awkward as she was when she first started.

I love that dance has boosted her confidence a bit. She's still indecisive and shy sometimes, but for the most part, she knows that it's perfectly fine that she can speak up, and she does. If that's not growing and learning then I don't know what is.

While it's fun to look forward to enjoying the summer, dance is never far from Vanessa's mind. Sometimes I'll catch her walking on her tippy-toes like Ms. Jessica has taught her, or even trying to teach Jeff how to pirouette. And, when dance finally does roll around in the fall, I can't help but smile when I see how excited she is to get dressed up in her leotard and tights for the first lesson.

Thanks, Miss Bonnie! See you in the fall!
