Bye-bye, 2011! Hello, 2012!

The countdown is on, but I honestly don't think I'm going to make it to midnight. Yeah, I'm dead by 9pm, so I don't think sitting here, trying to balance my checkbook is going to help me stay awake!

2011 has been full of ups and downs, big changes, excitement, disappointments, some sadness, but lots of memories! Uncertainty scares me sometimes, but I look forward to the new year. And, with that, here are my New Year's Resolutions:

* Lose 15 lbs. (I lost 15 lbs. during 2011, but can stand to lose another round)
* Coupon Harder!
* Make our house more of a home (declutter, organize & decorate)
* Pay off the last of our debt
* Become more financially savvy (as in, keep the checkbook balanced & know where our money's going!)

Are any of you making any resolutions? What are they?

To All of My Family & Friends

Just wanted to stop by and say.....
I hope this Christmas is filled with all the love and happiness only this special day can bring. May it remind all of us of the blessings and life's gifts that we have been given and continue to receive, and may the New Year also bring us love, joy and happiness!

Love,
Me

And, here I go AGAIN!

So about a week and a half ago, Scott and I decided to start working out together. Since he was doing P90X on and off, we decided to continue with it. The first day was Chest & Back, and that was okay. The next day: Plyometrics.

I just about DIED!

With just twenty minutes left of the routine, I started feeling sick and dizzy and had to stop. It was weird since I wasn't really pushing myself; a friend of mine thinks it's because I'm not as young as I used to be and can't handle all of the jumping. At any rate, trying to do the routines in the days afterwards were really hard, considering I was still feeling sick.

So a couple of days ago I decided to search eBay and see if I could find a DVD set of Turbo Fire for less. And, I did! Bought a brand new, never opened, Turbo Fire set for $50! I've completed the Turbo Jam series and always wanted a complete set of Turbo Fire (had used a ripped copy from my sister that she'd downloaded), but didn't want to spend $120!

The set arrived today and I'm excited to start tomorrow! Most of the moves and routines I've done before with Turbo Jam, but with a little more intensity. I'm hopeful that I can handle this.

Very hopeful!

Counting down....

Can't wait until Friday to see this guy!
Scott left yesterday for some work training in San Francisco and will be gone until Friday afternoon. It doesn't surprise anyone in my family that I become a hopeless mess when Big Poppa leaves town, but for some reason I always, always, always give myself a HUGE anxiety attack before he leaves. He's gone out of town before, for just as long, too, and I've survived just fine, but I must forget that fact whenever another business trip rolls around.

I guess the panic of trying to take care of four Crack Monkeys just really freaks me out....which in turn wracks me with guilt because what mother freaks out over her kids? Wait, don't answer that!

Anyway, today was the first day without Scott...it went smoothly, surprisingly. Yes, this is me totally surprised at the fact that I was able to get 3 of my kids off to school on time. Which shouldn't surprise me since I do this by myself even when Big Poppa is home.

What is wrong with me?

Is it Friday yet?
