Jeff is definitely is following in Ryan's footsteps. Once soccer ended, he decided he wanted to try basketball. The last time we had anyone in basketball was about 3 years ago, so it's been awhile. But, Jeff decided he wanted to play after a few of the boys he goes to Cub Scouts mentioned they've been playing together for a few years now. As an added plus, we know the coach, who happens to be on the bishopric in our ward.
Today was the first game of the season and I think I was more nervous than Jeff. However, I think his excitement overrode his nervousness, he was so eager to play. Obviously, he has a lot to work on, considering it's his first time playing in a league, but overall, I think he did well. He got right into the thick of things and chased that ball all over the court.
Afterwards, he informed me that basketball will now be his winter sport to get him through his agony of waiting for spring soccer, ha!
