It's a Tangled Party!

The Princess and I never made it to the movie theater to see Tangled, so with it now out on DVD, we decided to have a "viewing party"!

We bought Tangled themed party supplies, as well as decorated cupcakes. Spaghetti was on the dinner menu, as we reasoned the noodles were just like Rapunzel's long hair.

We're letting our stomachs settle before we attack the cupcakes and watch the movie; lots of fun tonight! ^_^

Crack Monkeys on the loose at IKEA!

Scott recently accepted a job offer with OpNet that gives him the opportunity to work from home. So today we were on the hunt for a desk for him and one of the stops was IKEA....which the Crack Monkeys had never been to before.

Uh-oh!

They especially liked the kids department, but also had to touch and explore everything else. :-)

This is what happens...

.......when Daddy comes home from work. Jeff attaches himself to Scott and refuses to let go. ;-)

The Princess just informed me...

....that it's snowing.

Like, really snowing.

Pfft! I said.

And, it's still coming down.

Yeah, I stand corrected.

*sigh*

Dear Mr. Flamboyant Cashier At Target

Thank you so much for excitedly squealing at the sight of my four kids and, after discovering they're all mine, exclaiming, "OMG! You look soooo FAB-U-LOUS for having four kids!"

You totally made my day and I really wanted to hug you, but restrained myself because I didn't think it would be appropriate. But, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for that confidence booster; your manager will definitely be hearing me praise you to the sky and back! ^_^

With Much Love,
Me

Just wanted to share...

LOL, so the Fire Pig and I are at the store, when he requests a can of mixed nuts (lil' dude loves the stuff!). As I'm handing it to him, he accidentally drops said can to the floor and exclaims, "Oh, man! My nuts!"

Cue a shocked gasp from the lady at the other end of the aisle. She whirls around to glare at us, only to see me handing the dropped can to Jeff. Very quickly, glare turns into surprise, then embarrassment.

Am I bad for laughing as she rushed away? ;-)

Ethan's IEP

I am one proud momma! We just got home from Ethan's IEP with his team of teachers and couldn't be more pleased with what they had to report! Ethan has made tremendous progress in all the goals that were set for him at the beginning of the school year, plus his teacher, speech therapist and the school psychiatrist are very impressed with how bright and intelligent he is, as well as sweet and kind.

No, I'm not smug; this smile you see on my face is from pure joy that my son is doing well in school, despite some developmental setbacks.

Oh, but it gets better!

When his teacher tested his reading, Ethan scored at a level "O", which is a beginning 3rd grade reading level. Why does that make me happy, when my son is in the 4th grade? Well, at the beginning of the school year, he was struggling to read at a beginning 2nd grade level, so they didn't set a very high goal for him just so they could take things slow. But, his team of teachers were very impressed at the results of his test; his reading is improving!

He's also not far behind on math. He tested at a 3rd grade level for it, which is great considering he tells me hates math, lol. His teachers are confident that he'll soon be working on grade level math!

I cannot stop smiling! Ethan is doing so well, it makes my heart swell! I've been really concerned about his academic life, as well as his socialization, but this afternoon's meeting has squashed those fears!

I'm so proud of Ethan!
