Lazy days

Last night we kept Family Home Evening really simple: we went swimming at the neighborhood pool. Well, first we had some pizza over at my parents' house, then we went home and went to the pool. Summer FHE activities are meant to be simple, y'know?

Yesterday we also had the carpet cleaning guy (what exactly are they called?) come over to clean the carpets in the living room, master bedroom and the are under the stairs in the basement. I "locked" myself in the office with Vanessa and Jeffrey, which wasn't really a great idea, but it worked for the moment. Everytime the worker would pass by the door (which had the baby gate locked across it), she'd ask, "Hi! What are you doing?" Didn't matter if she had just asked him that a minute ago or that it was the gazillionth time she'd ask; she did it anyway. The guy, for his part, cheerfully answered, "I'm working!" Each and every time, lol.

So after we'd been cooped up in the office watching endless episodes of Dora the Explorer and Ni-Hao, Kai-Lan, we went over to my parents' house to hang out. And, eat their food. And, watch tv. So basically, to mooch. But, really, they don't mind. At least, I think they don't mind.
Oh, jeez. I hope they don't mind!
