Anyway, yesterday I got to go to school with Vanessa; fun times, I tells ya! Her teacher does "Magical Mondays" which has parents volunteering to come in to teach the kids about fiarytales or nursery rhymes. It's only forty-five minutes, so really not too much to ask.
I taught the kids about Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which I think went over well. I had the kids laughing and smiling during th story and the discussion we had afterwards, which is always a good sign right? Some of these kids were really quick on the uptake, which made for some funny answers when I asked some questions.
We made some mobiles afterwards, which the kids thought were pretty cool. I only had forty-five minutes, so several of the students didn't finish, but were excited to take it home to finish with their parents.
By the way, all through this, Vanessa keeps yelling at me, "Mom, I love you!" Which was hilarious; I think she thought she wasn't getting enough of my attention? Also, the boy that sits next to her kept telling her, "Vanessa, you're really pretty!" I'm thinking, crush?
Anyway, the entire class enthusiastically waved good-bye when it was time for me to leave, which made me smile. I think I rocked yesterday, lol!
